Abbey Road, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS5 3EH, U.K. This is a 5.5 mile walk from Kirkstall. It is an extended version of an evening walk we have done a few times in the darker months. From the Abbey we head to the canal and follow the tow path up to Newlay on the edge of Horsforth. We cross the river and the A65 and then walk through Hawksworth Kirkstall Abbey was acquired by the Leeds Corporation as a gift from Colonel North and opened to the public in the late 19th century.
